Back on Track

After a rather scary weekend, I am happy to say that little Warren is back on track. After results came back on Monday, the doctors have now decided that what went on over the weekend was in fact a feed intolerance issue and not an infection.

So - Warren is now back to eating regularly and completely off of all IV fluids and antibiotics. Since he is such a happy camper with the bottle, they are giving him the opportunity to take as much of his feedings as possible via bottle instead of the feeding tube. We are now up to 30 mL per feeding (he gets fed every 3 hours) and he is handling it just fine on the bottle. Go Warren!!!!

The doctors also decided that Warren was ready for another Room Air Challenge so he is again without his nasal canula. It may only last a couple of days as they continue to up his feeds but it is good practice for him It is amazing to see Warren without any crazy stuff on. No nasal canula, no feeding tube and for a little while yesterday, no cast.

Breaking news from Keith - Warren is now up to 40mL per hour and is once again back in Intermediate Care.
