Prayer Blanket

We finally got to use the beautiful prayer blanket sent to us by our friends Wally and Norma Huffman. This blanket was made by a lady at Mariner's Bethel United Methodist Church and prayed over it while it was made. We were very pleased to use it to cover Warren's isolette and to cover Warren during a little "Kangaroo Care" time with daddy.

Jenn and her sister became friends with the Huffman's kids, Sandra and Russ, at Christopher Run Campground nearly 25 years ago. Our two families enjoyed many wonderful weekends together at Lake Anna and one amazing family vacation driving cross country to Oregon. Its great to know that friends made so long ago are still looking out for us.

Warren continues to do well. He now weighs 2 lb 8 oz, is still doing well on the nasal canula and still tolerating his feeds. Today Warren got his 3rd cast in the treatment of his club foot. The orthopedist said that it is going very well and we should only have a couple of more casts before the foot is in the proper position. Once we are done with the casts, Warren will have to wear a brace to maintain position. It is nice to know we are getting this more minor treatment dealt with while we are still in the NICU.
