Warren's First Bottle

Last week the doctors moved Warren's feeding tube from transpyloric (in his small intestine) to gastric (in his stomach). This was a big step for Warren and we watched anxiously over the weekend to see how Warren would handle this. If all went well - we knew next up would be practicing on the bottle. Taking food from the bottle is actually a big step for a preemie as we are asking these little guys to coordinate breathing, swallowing and sucking. So here it is - his first bottle feeding. He only took about 5mL of breastmilk as "practice" - the majority of his food is still coming from his gastric tube. But still - it was a great first time on the bottle. GO WARREN!!!!
